Michael Dooley Senior Conductor

Michael is graduate of Waterford Institute of Technology and Trinity College Dublin. He began his brass and wind studies with Tommy Joyce and continued under Martin Prynn and professor J.M. Thome. Michael is a busy soloist and chamber musician both at home and abroad and is a regular performer with the RTE Concert Orchestra and has also appeared with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, The Ulster Orchestra, The Irish Chamber Orchestra, Opera Theatre Company, Lyric Opera and Cork Opera Works.

He is a founder member of the Limerick Wind Octet and the Limerick Philharmonic Orchestra. He conducts both the Galway Youth Orchestra and St. Patrick's Brass Band. He is on the teaching staff of the Limerick School of Music and is the bassoon tutor of the international faculty of the annual BISYOC orchestral summer course held throughout Europe each year.
